Report Examines Foreign Reaction to Iran Missile Tests

The test-firing of the Shahab-3 missiles by Tehran in the strategic region of the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz yesterday was deemed as a serious warning to Israel by the foreign media.

Following the conclusion of America and England's joint military exercise in the Persian Gulf, Iran yesterday started a serious military exercise in the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz in reaction to the recent threats by Israel.

During this military exercise, which is entitled the Great Prophet III (peace be upon him) and lead by the air and sea forces of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, the new Shahab-3 missile with 2000 km range was also tested.

The Shahab-3 is one of the nine missiles which were tested in an unnamed desert area [in Iran]. Testing these missiles came after about a month of the most severe verbal threats by Israel warning of imminent military action against Iran.
