India to conduct complex interceptor missile test

DRDO’s Air Defence Missile AAD-05In another fortnight, India will be conducting one of the most complex interceptor missile tests.

For the first time a state-of-the-art interceptor missile at supersonic speed will seek to engage and destroy an incoming target missile at a very high altitude of 120-140 km over the Bay of Bengal.

Entirely new interceptor and target missiles have been developed by scientists of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for the upcoming engagement, to be conducted in exo-atmosphere (altitude above 40-50 km) on April 27 or 28.

  1. This shows the current developments on part of Indian defense, While Modi with its predictive win is trying to mould the India's nuclear doctrine according to the current prevailing threats. There is a hell difference what our government officials say and do. These developments will automatically instigate Pakistan and China to develop their own military muscles. We are ourselves are making the situations difficult for us.

    It is just a wild goose chase. For an instance even if it intercepts an incoming object what about the multiple fired missiles incoming from various directions? can missile shield intercept them too? of course not even powerful states have stopped investing on missile shield. India is spending in useless program.

So what is needed is a new poverty line which shows that 67 percent of India's population is actually poor.I think next govt will have to take into account that the people well being is imp or wasting money on theses issues. I think as an Indian we must roll back our nuclear program. we can never ever fight with China. even Pakistan also.
