Talks on for export of BrahMos missiles: Defence Minister


Somewhere in the Arabian Sea, Jan. 5 (PTI): India is exploring the possibility of exporting state-of-the-art multi-role supersonic 'BrahMos' cruise missiles developed jointly with Russia.

"Talks are going on with some countries," Defence Minister, A K Antony, told reporters today on board aircraft carrier 'INS Viraat', a day after commissioning landing ship tank (LST) 'INS Shardul' at Karwar naval base in Karnataka.

Antony did not name the countries India is contemplating to export the missiles, but indications are that they could be Malaysia, Chile, South Africa and Kuwait.
