Saab Receives Order for HMS Södermanland Overhaul

HMS SödermanlandDefence and security company Saab has received an order from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) to overhaul the Swedish Navy submarine HMS Södermanland. The order covers the period 2014-2016 and is valued at SEK121 million.

The order is part of the letter of intent regarding Swedish armed forces’ underwater capabilities, which was announced on 9 June 2014 and covers the period 2015-2024.

The overhaul includes the necessary measures to ensure the submarine's operational availability.
