Defence signs $46m FFG support deal

Adelaide-class frigateDefence has signed a multimillion dollar deal with defence company Thales for ongoing upkeep of the navy's four Adelaide-class guided missile frigates (FFG).

Defence Materiel Organisation chief executive officer Warren King on Friday said the $46 million deal provided support to the FFG combat systems.

It also provides increased job security to the 48 Thales staff who have been engaged under an interim support agreement.
