A-Darter missile cooperation brings Brazilian minister to Denel

A-DarterBrazil’s Minister of Science and Technology, Aloízio Mercadante, visited Denel yesterday in what Denel says is a step towards greater cooperation between the defence industries of South Africa and Brazil.

“This is the next step in the relationship between the defence industries of South Africa and Brazil that will grow in significance and value over the next few years,” said Talib Sadik, Group Chief Executive Officer of Denel.

Mercadante forms part of the Brazilian delegation in South Africa for the IBSA Summit that starts today. The summit is hosted by President Jacob Zuma and is attended by Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
