Despite delays, C-21s to arrive in Fargo soon

The Fargo-based 119th Fighter Wing is home to one C-21 aircraft, descibed as the military version of the Lear Jet.Eight C-21 jets, which will replace the Happy Hooligans’ F-16 fighter planes, will soon arrive in Fargo despite delays in getting them here.

The secretary of the Air Force signed off on the transfer of the aircraft to Hector Field, North Dakota Sens. Kent Conrad and Byron Dorgan and Congressman Earl Pomeroy said Monday.

The planes, which were to arrive in October, will be flown by pilots from the North Dakota Air National Guard’s 119th Fighter Wing – the Happy Hooligans.
