Russia will be deciding on whether it needs to build new aircraft carriers after 2015, Col. Gen. Vladislav Putilin, a deputy chairman of the Russian governmental Military- Industrial Commission, told journalists following a commission session on Friday.
"A decision on the shape of the maritime aircraft-carrying component will be made after 2015. The state weapons procurement program that was discussed today does not provide for the construction of new aircraft carriers," Putilin said.
