HMS Manchester leaves Portsmouth for the final time

HMS Manchester leaves Portsmouth for the final timeThe former warship HMS Manchester left Portsmouth today for the final time.

The old Type 42 destroyer has been sold by the Ministry of Defence.

Leyal Ship Recycling was handed the contract to break up the ship along with the former HMS Liverpool.

The destroyers are making way for the new six Type 45s, which are based in Portsmouth.
