Europe is failing to pull its weight in Nato

EU / NATOOnce again, we are told, European defence is at the top of an EU summit agenda.

The arguments are familiar – that European nations must do more to contribute to their own security and that with the United States becoming ever more concerned with the Pacific, there is a limit to the load that the American taxpayers will be willing to carry for their European partners. Both of these are perfectly true, but they do not justify reinventing the wheel, which is what some in Brussels would like to do.

We already have a powerful defence alliance for the protection of Europe. It is called NATO.

    Uniquely configured for Brunei, the new S-70i model represent the most advanced upgrades that have been made to the aircraft over its history to include state-of-the-art avionics with dual-digit flight control computers among others. The S-70i will replace the current fleet of Bell 212s that have been operation for over 30 years.

    I read in this article that S-70i Black Hawk helicopter can be configured according to customer specific missions, including troop transport and air assault, command and control, border patrol, search and rescue, cargo lift and VIP transport.
