South Korea’s ambitious USD 50 million fighter plane, a dud?

KF-XAfter India, Russia, US and China; South Korea is another country which is ambitiously pursuing the development of Fifth Generation Fighter Aircraft program.

Ever since the Korean War (1950-1953), North Korea has faced credible threats from its northern neighbour. In the wake of serious military threat, Seoul has been forced to pursue an aggressive defence policy.

South Korea is conducting extensive research work to develop its first indigenous Fifth Generation Fighter Plane, KAI KF-X, along with an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV).
