AgustaWestland-built Wildcat helicopters 'even better than hoped for'

AW159 Lynx WildcatOne of the next generation of Royal Navy helicopters is being put through its paces during a crucial work out off the south coast.

The new Wildcats, built in Yoevil by AgustaWestland, which will replace the Fleet Air Arm’s Lynx helicopters, showed what they were capable of in a series of demanding exercises.

The aircraft has already carried out trials at sea as test pilots and engineers examine its capabilities.
