Finnish Navy orders 12 U700 amphibious assault craft

U700 amphibious assault craft |Finland's Ministry of Defense announced on October 15, 2012 it selected Marine Alutech Oy Ab shipyard for the delivery of 12 U700 amphibious assault craft (with an option for a possible order of additional units) in a contract worth around 34 million euros.

The ships will be delivered in the years 2014-2016.

Marine Alutech shipyard is a longtime contractor for the Ministry of Defence of Finland for construction of high-speed motor boats and small boats watercat.
