Bid to 'park' Ark Royal at breakwater

[Ark Royal]The team behind the bid to bring the Ark Royal to South Devon are still awaiting a decision.

But they are hard at work at getting the paperwork ready should they get the green light to sink the aircraft carrier off Tor Bay to create an artificial diving and wildlife reef.

Michael Byfield and James Doddrell who are heading up the Wreck the World project, have asked that if they do get the go ahead in the next few weeks, they could 'park' Ark Royal alongside Brixham Breakwater for the summer, before preparing her to be sunk next year in Lyme Bay.
