The Eurofighter Typhoon cannot yet be ruled out as the choice for India's Multi-Role Combat Aircraft contract, BAE and government sources have said.Despite the announcement by the Indian government that Dassault's Rafale had been selected ahead of the Eurofighter on price grounds, making the French jet India's preferred option, UKTI and BAE spokesmen have said the final contract is yet to be awarded.
Any contract will be subject to further negotiations between the Indian defence ministry and Dassault.
