Russian Navy to outflank rivals in secrecy and low noise by 2020

Yasen / Graney / Severodvinsk classChief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Vladimir Vysotsky is sure: the task of equipping the Russian Navy with modern weaponry is within the powers of the country’s industry.

By 2020, the fleet will have received at least eight newest multi-purpose nuclear submarines of the Severodvinsk class.

The sea trials of the new sub are scheduled for August.
