China's defense ministry website kicks off full operation

The official website of China's Ministry of National Defense, www.mod.gov.cn, kicked off its full operation on Monday after two years of trial operation.

The website, authorized by the Central Military Commission, features authoritative and up-to-date defense information, including defense expenditures, national defense white papers, and the ministry's routine press conferences, according to a notice posted on the website. The site features simplified and traditional Chinese characters, as well as English.

The website is also available in mobile-phone edition.
