Russia relocates missiles as fire rages

The Russian officials are busily transferring missiles from a depot outside Moscow, as the Russian capital is choking under a thick blanket of smog from wildfires.

Russians have already relocated the explosive and nuclear materials from their sensitive atomic site in the central city of Sarvo, but worry continues as the relentless fires are engulfing the country's high-profile atomic research center.

Officials have warned that the wildfire may re-activate contamination in western areas affected by the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster, raising radioactive particles which lie in the soil, the correspondent, a Press TV correspondent reported.
