Dutch Navy to Fit New Submarine Safety Device

Walrus classThe Royal Netherlands Navy has awarded a contract to Analox Military Systems for nine Sub Aspida devices for use on four of its Walrus Class submarines.

The Sub Aspida is a new safety device used in submarines or decompression chambers to provide constant and accurate monitoring of oxygen and carbon dioxide in a robust unit that is easily portable.

Analox Military Systems sales and marketing director Vicky Brown said the Dutch Navy required an accurate dual-gas monitoring in an environment prone to fluctuations in atmospheric pressure.
