Peruvian submarine in Hampton Roads for training

BAP Angamos (Type 209)The Peruvian submarine BAP Angamos arrived at Naval Station Norfolk Thursday for a scheduled port visit.

Commanded by Capitan de Fragata Luis Del Carpio Azalgara, the submarine will participate in a training exercise with the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group.

"This is an excellent opportunity for the Angamos to receive some realistic training with the U.S. Navy," said de Fragata.
