MiG crash kills four near Jalpaiguri

MiG-27 FloggerAn Indian Air Force MiG-27 crashed into a village near Jalpaiguri on Saturday, its exploding debris burning homes and cutting clean through people.

At least four people were feared dead and 25 were admitted to hospital, some with severe burn injuries. The pilot managed to eject safely.

The aircraft took off from the Hashimara air base on a routine sortie just after 10am.
