One of the largest ship builders in the world DCNS France, who are and assisting India in building world class "Scorpene" submarines for Indian Navy said today that there was all possibility to extend its ties with Walchandnagar Industries for supplying certain critical components for its international submarine projects .
This was announced by Patrick Boissier Chairman DCNS who was speaking after the unveiling of the "Vinod Doshi Technology Center" and the statue of Vinod .l.Doshi, Former Chairman Emeritus of Walchandnagar Industries Ltd at the hands Padma Vibhushan Dr.Anil Kakodkar, Former Chairman of Atomic Energy Commission of India and Secretary to Dept of Atomic Energy Govt of India at Walchandnagar today.
Mr. Boissier Chairman DCNS , Said that the company which was Europe's leading company in , ship building , off shore patrol vessels and Submarine manufacturing and valued at Euros 2.5 billion had signed an MOU with WIL last year manufacturing of critical technical parts for Scorpene" submarines for the Indian Navy. The 6 diesel operated Scorpenes are being manufactured in India at Mazgaon.
