The Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) has placed an order for three CN-235 maritime patrol aircraft (MPA) from Indonesia`s national aircraft industry PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PT DI), its director Budi Santoso said.
The contract for the purchase of the three reconnaissance aircraft was signed here on Friday by PT DI President Director Budi Santoso and Director General for Defense Facilities of the Defense Ministry Rear Marshal Eris Herryanto.
Santoso said that the CN-235 reconnaissance planes had been equipped with detection sensors and control devices enabling them to carry out sensing, reconnaissance and targeting missions.
