NATO, Russia To Intensify Military Cooperation In Afghanistan

Anders Fogh RasmussenIn a sign of improving relations between NATO and Russia, the two entities vowed to step up military cooperation in Afghanistan.

A decision to this effect was made during a meeting between the new secretary general of the alliance, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, and Russia's ambassador to NATO, Dmitri Rogozin, in Brussels Tuesday.

NATO officials termed the meeting between former Danish Prime Minister, who became NATO chief on 1 August, and Rogozin, as positive and cordial.
