After barring U.S. company General Electric (GE) from operationalizing two gas turbine engines it supplied to the Indian Navy for installation on its latest Shivalik-class frigates, the administration has given its nod to the company to resume work on the warship, media reports say."The U.S. has given green signal to GE to resume work on the two LM 2500 gas turbines that power the Shivalik-class frigate," Defense Ministry officials said in New Delhi Tuesday.
The permission was granted by the U.S State Department to GE March 12.
