India will acquire Israeli Phalcon radars for its Air Force in May to strengthen the country's air surveillance capabilities, a senior Indian government official said Thursday.
"India will get the first consignment of the three Israeli Phalcon Airborne Warning and Control Systems (AWACS) in two months, a year-and-a-half behind schedule.
The remaining two consignments will be delivered to India by 2010," said the official on condition of anonymity.
