Navy awards $125.6 million contract to Northrop Grumman Systems for jamming receivers

Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. has won a $125.6 million contract from the Navy to produce nine AN/ALQ-218 tactical jamming system receivers, a component of EA-6B airborne electronic attack aircraft.

Late Thursday the Navy said this contract provides for a display lab asset and spares in support of the EA-6B.

Work will be performed in Baltimore, Md., Bethpage, N.Y., Nashua, N.H., and San Diego, and is expected to be completed in October 2011.
