On May 26, Grad missiles were fired on the city of Ashraf, the stronghold of the Iranian opposition movement Mujahideen Khalq situated between the Baghdad and Diyala districts in Iraq. No injuries were reported. A senior Iraqi source blamed Iran.
The Mujahideen Khalq issued a communiqué condemning the attack and linking it to a U.K. appeals court ruling to remove the organization from the list of terror organizations.
