U.S. Missiles Target Terrorists in Somalia

The Navy used Tomahawk cruise missiles to strike at a "known al-Qaida terrorist" in the southern Somalia town of Dobley, on the border with Kenya.

Fox News reports that the target of the missile strike was Saleh Ali Saleh Nabhan, who was suspected in a 2003 hotel bombing in Mombassa, Kenya, and the firing of a shoulder-fired missile at an Israeli commercial airliner.

The missile attack was the second time in the past year that the U.S. military has fired upon suspected al-Qaeda operatives in Somalia.
