Russian nuclear submarines test-fires intercontinental missile

Nuclear submarine Tula of Russia’s Northern Navy test-fired a ballistic missile Monday.

“The missile was launched from the Barents Sea, targeting a range ground in the Kamchatka region of Russia,” the chairman of the press department of the Russian Navy, Igor Dygalo said.

According to the official, the submarine fired the missile from under the water surface with a view to check the battling capacity of the nation’s strategic nuclear forces.
