U.S. Navy Increases Order for Raytheon's Airborne Low Frequency Sonar

Raytheon Company has been awarded a $15.4 million U.S. Navy contract for the AN/AQS-22 Airborne Low Frequency Sonar system, the primary undersea anti-submarine warfare sensor for the U.S. Navy's MH-60R multi-mission helicopter.

The AN/AQS-22 provides essential anti-submarine warfare mission support capabilities, including submarine detection, tracking, localization, classification, acoustic intercept, underwater communication and environmental data collection.

Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems is the prime production supplier of AN/AQS-22, providing the Navy with these critical capabilities since 1999.
