IAF on cloud nine as it celebrates its 75th birthday
The Indian Air Force is 75 years old on Monday. Beginning with a strength of six officers and 19 'Hawai Sepoys' in 1932, it is today the fourth largest and one of the more acclaimed Air Forces of the world.
The event is being marked by a parade at the Hindon airbase near Delhi. A scintillating flypast of 75 aircraft will be the highlight of the IAF's 75th birthday.
The entire range of its capabilities, from rocketry to helicopter airlift and of course, fighter operations will be on display.
