Officials say Kazakhstan ready to buy PKG vessels

Yoon Young-HaKorea is seeking to export its new high-speed Patrol Killer Guided boats to Kazakhstan, a high-ranking Defense Ministry official said yesterday, after Kazakhstan signaled its willingness to buy the PKGs.

The Ministry of National Defense and the Defense Acquisition Program Administration have reportedly accepted the proposal and are planning to discuss a deal.

The sale will be discussed in detail during a five-day visit to Korea by Captain and Commander Zhanzakov Zhandarbek of the Kazakhstan navy, which started yesterday.
