RS-24 missiles to replace old systems within next few years

New RS-24 intercontinental ballistic missiles with multiple warheads will be provided to Russia's Strategic Missile Forces within the next few years, the forces' Commander Col. Gen. Nikolai Solovtsov told journalists on Tuesday.

"The new RS-24 intercontinental ballistic missile was developed within a relatively short period of time.

Within the next few years, it will replace old missile systems with multiple warheads that are being taken off combat duty according to schedule," he said.
