Karachi Shipyard receiving three Submarines construction project

Agosta class submarineKarachi Shipyard is receiving construction projects of three Submarines and other marine projects due to positive improvements setting in the Organization.

This was informed by the Managing Director of Karachi Shipyard, Iftikhar Rao, in a briefing to the National Assembly Committee on Defence Production and which here on Monday visited the Karachi Shipyard and Naval Dockyard.

The standing committee under the chairmanship of Ms. Fiza Junejo while their visit to the Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works decided to form a sub-committee to take up the issues of the organization and propose various recommendations and proposals to improve the efficiency of this viable sector of Pakistan Economy.

The committee observed that being a vital organization for growing economy, maritime sector and national security, the organization deserve valid subsidies, cash concessions, funding and support to make them competitive in domestic and international markets further.
