RBS 70 MissileThe Finnish military is to buy Robotsystem (RBS) 70 short-range shoulder-fired surface-to-air missiles for about 67 million euros from Sweden's Saab Bofors Dynamics, the Finnish Defence Forces (FDF) said in a statement Thursday.

The purchase price includes, in addition to the launchers and missiles themselves, training, service, and testing equipment, spare parts, simulators and a 15-year maintenance agreement.

The Swedish missiles are to replace the ageing ITO 86 and ITO 86 M, Finnish designations for variants of the Soviet-made 9K38 'Igla', due to be decommissioned in next year.
