China's missile systems on show in east China

China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC) will exhibit around 20 types of missiles at the 6th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition.

CASIC said the missile defense system will demonstrate China's capability to defend the country's airspace and territory.

The missiles on show include anti-craft missiles, coastal defense missiles and ground-to-ground missiles.

Yin Xingliang, general manager of CASIC, told Xinhua that China's missile system had reached the technical level of developed countries in the late 1990s.

Yin said CASIC had worked for the peaceful utilization of technologies in the military industry and applied the aerospace technologies in the civil aviation industry.

The six-day exhibition will begin in east China's Zhuhai city on Tuesday.
