The ASTA Early Cockpit Trainer (ECT) has officially been accepted by NETMA, and two of the Eurofighter Typhoon partner air forces in the past few days.
On Wednesday, 22nd March, the first ASTA Early Cockpit Trainer was formally accepted by German Air Force. This device, installed at MOB Laage, will primarily be used for procedural and basic flight training as part of the conversion to type of German Air Force pilots.
The Spanish device at MOB Moron was accepted on Thursday 6th April. Early Cockpit Trainers are expected to be accepted by the other two partner air forces in the UK (Coningsby) and Italy (Ronchi) in April and June respectively.
