Hewitt Equipment Limited Awarded Halifax Class Frigates Generator Replacement Contract

Halifax class FFGHewitt Equipment Limited has been awarded a contract by the Canadian Department of National Defence for the replacement of the Diesel-Electric Generator sets and the provision of In-Service support for the Navy's fleet of Halifax Class Frigates, located on both the East Coast and the West Coast of Canada.

The initial contract period of ten years covers Acquisition of the DG Sets and In-Service Support, with options to extend for up to twenty-two years.

Hewitt will execute this contract in conjunction with its subsidiary Atlantic Cat in the Maritimes and through a teaming agreement with Finning (Canada) located in British Columbia.
