MacArtney delivers underwater connectivity for FREMM frigate bow sonar systems

FS Aquitaine (D650)MacArtney Underwater Technology has been contracted to supply SubConn underwater connectivity solutions to the French, Italian and Moroccan navies, for use in their frégate européen multi-mission (FREMM) frigates.

The company has designed the connectivity solutions in collaboration with naval defence technology contractors, Thales and WASS.

Under the contract MacArtney will provide the 'inboard' lead-in cables running from the sonar dome to a central hub within the hull of the ship.
