U.A.E. Orders Squadron of Fighter Aircraft to Jordan in Show of Support

UAE F-16 Fighting FalconThe United Arab Emirates said on Saturday that it ordered a squadron of F-16 fighters to Jordan, demonstrating support for Jordan’s pledge to hunt down Islamic State group militants and “wipe them out completely.”

It wasn’t clear from the announcement, carried by the state news agency WAM, if Emirati aircraft will carry out airstrikes against Islamic State group from Jordan.

Emirati and Jordanian officials weren’t immediately available for comment.
