Adelaide keel ceremony for destroyer

Hobart class AWDA keel-laying ceremony has been held in Adelaide for the Air Warfare Destroyer (AWD) HMAS Brisbane.

Premier Jay Weatherill said Monday's ceremony marked the start of the consolidation of the second warship on South Australia's Techport Australia common user facility.

"It continues the progress on the $8 billion AWD project, the largest and most complex defence project in Australia," he said.
