Kongsbergs to deliver Sea Protector RWS to Norwegian Navy
The Norwegian Defence Logistics Organization (NDLO) has awarded a contract to Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace to deliver Sea Protector remote weapon stations (RWS) for Royal Norwegian Navy's (RNoN) combat vessels.
The Sea Protector is a remotely controlled, fully-stabilised sensor platform and weapon mount, designed to enhances the ability of the host vessel, supporting surveillance- and control missions.
In addition to protecting crew against hostile fire on the bridge and in the CIC, the weapon system provides self-defence and enhanced capability to counter asymmetric threats through an improved hit accuracy.
