N Korea builts missile base near China border


Pongdong-ri
North Korea has built a missile base close to Mount Paktusan near the border with China. This was reported by the newspaper "Jungang Ilbo," referring to a government source.

According to the source, there are a large number of underground missile silos located at distances up to 2 km from the southern slope of Mount Paktusan.
Construction was started in the mid-2000s and is now being completed, ITAR-TASS reported.
