Naval Base Guam Welcomes USS Key West

USS Key West |Naval Base Guam this afternoon welcomed the arrival of the Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine USS Key West which now calls Guam its home port.

USS Key West joins the 3 submarine force on Guam, replacing USS Buffalo which will finalize its transition from Guam and change its home port to Hawaii in early 2013.

Forward deployed submarines are readily capable of meeting global operational requirements.
