Iran to start new stage of Sahand destroyers construction

IS Sahand |Iran will start the new stage of Sahand destroyers construction in December, Iran's Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said, Fars reported.

Sayyari noted that the new stage will takeoff on the day of Iranian Navy in December.

In September, Iran released the Sahand frigate into water, construction of which was completed ahead of schedule, in 9 months. It is planned to equip the frigate with modern defense technology as well as special stealth capabilities.
