Israel Aerospace Industries Unveils NAVGUARD - Naval Missile Warning Radar

[NAVGUARD Radar system]Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has finished development and has recently successfully demonstrated its NAVGUARD naval missile warning radar against live fired missiles.

NAVGUARD, designated ELM-2222S, is developed and manufactured by ELTA Systems Ltd., an IAI group and subsidiary.

It is a lightweight, high-technology, Phased Array missile warning radar system for surface combatant ships operating in both littoral and blue waters, which are faced with challenges of asymmetric warfare (from irregular combat units such as terrorists or pirates).
