Russian Navy to attend RIMPAC 2012

Sovremenny class destroyerInternational naval exercise RIMPAC 2012 will take place near Hawaii from June 29 to Aug 7, 2012 comprising naval forces of Asian-Pacific regional countries.

Russia will be represented by destroyer Bystry, a rescue tug and a tanker.

The exercise will be also attended by warships from Australia, India, Indonesia, Canada, Colombia, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Peru, Singapore, the US, Tonga, and Japan.
