A Royal Navy destroyer has been observing a flotilla of Russian warships taking shelter about 30 miles off British shores.The Type 42 destroyer, HMS York, was dispatched from its Portsmouth base on Monday to monitor the vessels in international waters off the Moray coast in the north-east of Scotland.
It is thought the Russian flotilla, which includes the 65,000-ton aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov, other warships and support vessels, was sheltering from bad weather further out to sea.
