Ill-equipped HMS Westminster disgrace

HMS WestminsterLord Hesketh, the former Conservative Party treasurer and now defence spokesman for UKIP, has branded the decision to send HMS Westminster to Libya with only four missiles as disgraceful.

It emerged today that the Type-23 frigate was only armed with four missiles during the recent Nato mission to protect Libya's civilians.

The frigate has a capacity of 32 Seawolf and eight Harpoon missiles but was only armed with four missiles which are fired in pairs therefore allowing it only two rounds to fire.
